Join Us for a Community Climate Workshop on February 28, 2024

Dear Friends,

We need your expertise! The Lynn and Nahant coast is changing and the Metropolitan Beaches Commission and Save the Harbor want to know how you envision the future of our beaches!

Please join us on February 28th at the Lynn Museum/LynnArts from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. for a Community Climate Workshop on Lynn and Nahant Beaches. (There will be a Zoom option available for those who can't attend in person).

This workshop will be an opportunity to share what you value about the beach, ocean and coastline and to help inform future planning and recommendations for improving climate resiliency and adapting to climate change on our coast.

Using the RAD (Resist, Accept, Direct) framework developed by the National Park Service, we will workshop in small groups to determine what the residents and visitors to the Lynn and Nahant Waterfront value most about these resources, as well as hearing about existing climate resiliency efforts currently underway.

Following this workshop, we will hold additional workshops throughout the region in Revere, Winthrop, East Boston, South Boston, Dorchester, Quincy, and Hull and share outcomes and initial recommendations with you in Summer 2024.

For more information about the MBC or for the workshops, please contact Save the Harbor's Policy Coordinator by email to zwyer@savetheharbor.org or on cell at (718-825-8136).

Thanks for your participation, and for your support of our efforts to improve public access to these spectacular urban natural resources – for everyone. We look forward to hearing from you on February 28th!

Best,
Chris Mancini
